The idea for Grand Lux Cafe came to life when The Venetian Resort, Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas asked David Overton, Founder of The Cheesecake Factory Restaurants, to create an upscale casual restaurant concept for their property.
Excited by the proposal and the opulent "Venetian" theme, Mr. Overton traveled to Europe to study Italian trattorias, French bistros, and the grand cafes and pastry shops of Vienna. This culinary tour through Europe, focused on food, architecture, décor and design, provided the inspiration for what the restaurant was destined to become.
Blending the grandeur and luxury of European cafes with the sensibilities and spirit of an all-American restaurant, "Grand Lux Cafe" was born. Today, with locations in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and Houston, Grand Lux Cafe is proud to offer our guests unique, casual global cuisine in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere.
Grand Lux Cafe defines a new category in dining, that of the super upscale casual restaurant. Taking design and style themes from the Old World cafes and bistros of Europe, Grand Lux Cafe provides our guests with an escape from the ordinary.

All-marble floors and tabletops, hand-blown glass fixtures, and intricate mosaics add to the lavish interior. Motifs borrowing from the great artists of the "grand cafe" era envelop the dining area, bringing warmth and personality to the space.
Designed for grandeur but never forgetting comfort, the inviting dining rooms are perfect for a cozy party of two or a festive party of twenty. Private dining facilities for parties and events also are available at our Las Vegas and Chicago locations.

With every item prepared fresh to order in our exhibition-style kitchen, the focus remains on providing guests with the finest, freshest foods available.
Served in generous portions - perfect for sharing - menu selections include Specialty Appetizers, Oven Baked Rustic Pizzas, Burgers and Sandwiches, Salads, Pasta Dishes, Oven, Broiler and Grill Specialties, and Certified Angus Beef Steaks.

Perhaps most "grand" of all is the on-premise bakery found at each Grand Lux Cafe. Recognizing that the very best desserts are those that are baked to order, this delicious European tradition was brought back to the States and is a hallmark of the Grand Lux Cafe experience. From Molten Chocolate Cake and New Orleans Beignets to Warm Rustic Apple Pie and Warm Homemade Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies, our special baked to order desserts add a fabulous finish to any meal.
Lunch Specials are served daily until 5:00 p.m., and special Breakfast selections are served Saturdays and Sundays until 2:00 p.m. For our guests' convenience in today's busy world, we will happily package any item from our dining room menu for take out. We also offer all of our delicious baked goods at the bakery counter to enjoy at home.
