Founded in 1944, Mesaba Airlines is the longest-standing regional airline in the United States. Known throughout the industry for its commitment to the safety of its passengers and employees, the airline has successfully navigated through evolving times in an exciting industry. In 2007, the airline strengthened its future by entering into a relationship with longtime partner Northwest Airlines. Now, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Northwest Airlines, Mesaba operates as a Northwest Airlink under service agreements with Northwest. The rapidly-expanding airline serves more than 75 cities in the United States and Canada from Northwest’s three major hubs: Detroit , Minneapolis/St. Paul and Memphis. Mesaba operates an advanced fleet of regional jet and jet-prop aircraft, consisting of the 34-passenger Saab SF340, the 50-passenger Bombardier CRJ200 and the 76-passenger Bombardier CRJ900 regional jet aircraft.
