Job Description
Sears Holdings Corporation is currently seeking to fill a full time SALARY Accountant position for our
Corporate office in the Michigan Campus Support Center.

The Accountant will support the business by working closely with the Director of Financial Systems to
ensure the availability of accurate and timely financial reporting information.

Job Requirements
Responsibilities include:
Essbase:
 Ensure Essbase cubes are in balance daily
 Research and identify any imbalances between SHC, Unit and VFS cubes
 Create Essbase hierarchy files as needed
 Maintain and update select Essbase hierarchy files, based upon receipt of email update
notifications or by running jobs against systems looking for updates
 Perform UAT testing for new projects
 Help users create retrieval spreadsheets as requested
 Backup support for Essbase security
 Backup support for Essbase user issues
EIS (Executive Information System):
 Maintain and update current Public Custom Groupings
 Create new Public Custom Groupings as needed
 Maintain a count of Open and Comp Kmart stores
 Respond to EIS related Help Tickets
 Create and update EIS main menu business maps
 Create screen mock-ups and requirements documents for development of new applications,
current applications enhancements, and current applications changes
 Perform UAT testing for new projects
 Maintain and update select EIS hierarchy files, based upon receipt of email update
notifications or by running jobs against systems looking for updates
 Work with I&TG support to resolve any issues
 Create user instruction documents for new application or functionality
 Help users navigate the applications as requested
 Backup support for EIS security
 Support for EIS user issues
Client Input Files:
 Maintain various client input files for data gathering and processing
 Create new client input files as needed to support current applications
 Create new client input files as needed for development of new applications
 Maintain various merchandise hierarchies for reporting purposes
PeopleSoft General Ledger Trees:
 Maintain select general ledger trees in the production, parallel and test environments
Miscellaneous:
 Backup support for various ad hoc reporting (mainframe processing or information
gathering)
 Validation/verification of various reporting issues or changes as the needs arise
 Create ad hoc reports as required or requested

Skills/Experience Requirements
Skill/Experience Requirements:
 BS/BA in Finance or Accounting preferred but not required
 Minimum 2+ years of progressive experience performing accounting, financial planning &
analysis, financial modeling or internal audit work
 Highly motivated with the ability to function independently and solve problems
 Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while delivering quality results and meeting deadlines
 Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively
across the finance, accounting and IT organizations (and to all levels within those
organizations)
 Ability to think strategically and creatively
 Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, EIS, and Essbase
