Technology Practice Leader (Virtualization)

Job Description 

Yoh IT has an opportunity for a seasoned Technology Practice Leader to lead our customer's move into the Virtualization marketplace. This position will require superior presentation and communication skills.
 


Job Requirements 

  • The successful candidate will have the ability to implement VI Backup Solution using VMWare Consolidated Backup (VCB) integrated with industry leading backup applications (ie Commvault, Symantec Netbackup, vRanger).
  • Ability to perform Capacity Planning exercises with good knowledge of VMware Capacity Planner tools.
  • Extensive Knowledge of SAN and iSCSI technologies to collaborate with Storage Teams.
  • Good understanding of networking technologies.
  • Ability to managing multiple priorities, concurrent objectives, projects and activities.
  • Effective judgment in prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Excellent technical and non-technical written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to engage across department boundaries and at multiple levels where necessary to support technology solutions and technical infrastructure.
  • VCDX would be preferred.
  • The initial role will be to develop a desktop virtualization prototype for the customer's internal use, and then begin consulting with their clients on virtualization infrastructure projects.
  • Prior consulting background would be a real plus.
  • Travel will vary based on project load, but is estimated in the 50% - 60% range.
  • This is a contract to hire situation with the dirct hire position salaried in the low 100Ks with unlimited bonus potential.
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent
