Currently we are looking for EMC/EMI/Lightning Engineers for our client in Northern CT. These opportunities are CONTRACT opportunities...

Roles and responsibilities include ability to Develop and verify electromagnetic compatibility, lightning protection and high intensity radiated field protection for aerospace systems. Individuals must be able to provide expertise in the control of electromagnetic immunity or emissions through though design recommendations and review of product designs. Define electrical and electronic electromagnetic compatibility requirements, verify system performance and resolve equipment and system electromagnetic compatibility or lightning immunity problems. Candidates need the ability to write technical reports and communicate both orally and in writing to customers and must be able to work as parts of a cross-functional product development team. Experience with computer analysis tools (including PSpice & Excel), word processing, and formal presentation development is beneficial.

General experience in electromagnetic compatibility / interference test and/or analysis for electromagnetic compatibility, including Lightning and EMP is required.

Working knowledge and expert understanding of RTCA/DO-160 and MIL-STD-461E/F is required, as well as, expert knowledge of proper operational procedures of all EMC test equipment including spectrum analyzer or EMI receiver, preamplifiers, signal generators, antennas, etc.
